Happy Valentine's Day!!

Happy Valentine's day everyone!!

My gift to Rich was he gets to sleep in today... it is 9:30 and he is still blissfully asleep...

Meantime, the kids and I have been busy. While I made pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream, Tyler and Kamryn got to open their cards from nana...



Kamryn is just starting to appreciate what money, so she was pretty excited to get her dollar!!

While I was cooking, Nathan was hanging out with Tyler and Kamryn...



Now for the record, we do own a blue bumbo, but when I was looking for it, I came across the blue one first :-)

After breakfast was done, Nathan was just tuckered out from all the excitment, so like his father, he is sound asleep...

Nathan's Baptism/Tyler's Party

On Sunday, February 8th, we had a very exciting day. Nathan was baptized and we celebrated Tyler's birthday with our extended family and some friends.

The baptism was beautiful. Pastor Allison preformed his service, and Mr. Mark and Ms. Susie sang "Your Whole Life Long" - with Mr. Joel on the piano - it was incredible and moving!! Most of our extended family was present and were surrounded around Nathan for this special occasion.

After the baptism, we had a church recpetion - our way of sharing Nathan's special day with the people that were so intracit in getting that little boy here....



After the reception was done, it was time to move to our "party room" for Tyler... it was decorated in Tyler's 2 favorite things - the color green, and tractors!! Ms. Connie and Ms. Carlota did an amaizng job getting the room ready...

Happy 5th Birthday Tyler

Well, it is official - we are the parents of a 5-yr old!!

Tyler had a great 5th birthday... when he woke up on Thurday morning (his actual birthday) - his Nana and cousin Rachel were ready to go to school with him. We had bought a cookie cake for him to take to school, and his "Bad Dog Marley" book was ready to go as well...



However, before it was time to leave for school, Daddy made a wonderful birthday breakfast of eggs, bacon and hash browns, and Tyler got to open his presents from Nana and Aunt Ann... from Nana a new backpack with his name on it, and from Aunt Ann.... a secret pocket cape!!



So off to school the 3 of them (Tyler, Nana and Rachel) went...



The evening of Tyler's birthday - we had a pizza dinner (Tyler picked) and then we had family birthday cake. Tyler got to open presents from his mommy and daddy! His favorite, his great big wall map - he is very into maps right now!!

After a day of fun, our 5-yr old was ready for bed. Afterall, he knew he had an even BIGGER party to look forward to on Sunday!!!

Siblings...

I love watching Tyler and Kamryn interact together... I mean sure, at times there can be lots of yelling, fighting and crying... but, there is a lot of love there too! They can be so sweet together... here they are this morning...

Nathan's 13th Week of Life!

Wow, my baby boy is 14 weeks old today!! Jeepers.

He is just over 17 lbs., however, he is finally slowing down in his gaining!! Maybe he'll actually stay in a size for a few weeks now!

Here are a few pictures from our week.. we don't have many this week... Kamryn and Nathan both Kamryn down with a nasty coughing virus - so we just aren't sleeping well here and not up to snuff...

Tyler and His Dog

So Tyler will be 5 in 2 days!!
Geesh - I don't believe it - I'm in denial or something!

Anyway - it is custom at his preschool that the birthday child bring their favorite book to be read to the class, and then they donate the book... it isn't mandatory - but, just about everyone does it.Anyway - one of Tyler's favorite books right now is "Bad Dog Marley" - which is a kid's book based off of Marley and Me.

Well... Olive is our Marley, so, I took a picture of Tyler this morning that I'll laminate and put in the cover of the book he is donating.

I thought I'd share - it turned out so cute... I didn't pose them like that at all, I told Tyler what the picture was for, and he did the rest....
